February = #2 — Month of relationships & duality

We are now entering the month of February, the second month of the year, equating the entire month to the number “2.”

January, the month of 1, was all about “me, me, me!” You were focused on new years resolutions and self-improvement. You were also concerned with starting over, a fresh start, a brand new beginning. Most likely you felt the urge to cut others off or spend time alone. Every relationship in your life came with the question, “how does this benefit me? How can they give more to me?” But now the energy is shifting, and it’s not just about you anymore.

It’s no surprise that Valentine’s day falls during the month of February, considering the number 2 is directly related to partnership and romance. For those of you who are coupled up, this month puts a spotlight on your lover. You can’t escape them (for better or worse)! This month will teach you what you need to work on — are you compromising enough, or too much? Is there a fair amount of individuality between you two, or is it completely codependent? Is it equal give and take, or is one of you feeling drained? This month, you’ll find out the answers to these questions.

If you’re single, then this month may be less about partnership, and more about individual duality. If you’ve been feeling out of whack lately, then this is the best time to seek balance. Take this time to get in touch with your true feelings, wants, and needs. Anger issues can be resolved this month.

The number “2” is very sensitive, nurturing, and understanding. Don’t be surprised if your mushy side comes out. Even the “toughest” people may find themselves crying at a sappy movie, or gushing at a cute little animal, or feeling compelled to donate to the poor this month.

Mantras for February:

  • I am a multi-faceted human, there is more than one side to me.
  • I give and receive equally in partnerships.
  • I let myself cry when I’m upset.
  • I express my hurt feelings to my partner in a gentle way.
  • I understand that sensitivity is a strength, not a weakness.
  • I value peace and harmony.
  • I am balanced.
